Once again, we are faced with one of the rare occurrences of the last decade where there will be a Super Bowl played and Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will not be a part of it.
This past Sunday, his arch-nemesis Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos pretty much easily handled Brady and the Pats, earning them the trip to Metlife Stadium against the Seattle Seahawks instead.
So you would think that Brady would be watching the game and rooting mightily for the Seahawks to make Denver’s trip to the Super Bowl a living nightmare, right?
Well, that’s not exactly the case because in an interview with WEEI in Boston, Brady said that he doesn’t plan to watch the game at all.
“Those games are hard to watch,” Brady said. “I don’t really see myself sitting down to enjoy a football game to watch it. Our season’s over. Truthfully, I could care less about watching the game. That’s pretty much how I feel.”
So if anyone was expecting an invitation in the mail to Brady’s Super Bowl party, don’t hold your breath.
