Earlier on Thursday night it was reported that Carolina Panthers safety Charles Godfrey had $125,000 in watches stolen from his home in uptown Charlotte, but the police report that detailed the incident appears to be false.

The report claimed that two watches were stolen from Godfrey’s porch after FedEx delivered them, which would have meant there was one random dude or a FedEx driver strolling around in watches far too expensive for their pay grade.

According to Godfrey’s agent Doug Hendrickson, “no one has stolen anything from Godfrey” and the person that made the police report claiming watches were stolen was an impostor.

In an effort to clear up the situation, Godfrey met with police.
