Jim Ross talks about WWE’s next big star, officially signs with with FOX Sports

WWE Hall of Fame commentator Jim Ross.

WWE Hall of Fame commentator Jim Ross.

There’s no doubt that Jim Ross is one of the best color commentators in professional wrestling history. A man who is passionate about his Oklahoma Sooners and professional wrestling. But now it appears that Good Ole’ J.R. is on a new team and has officially broken away from the World Wrestling Entertainment family.

Now according to NoDQ.com, Jim Ross said that Roman Reigns was the next big star for the WWE. Which I agree. Reigns should be doing something big at the Royal Rumble, but winning it may not be in the cards. He may end up eliminating the other team members of The Shield along with a handful of other competitors.

In the end, I think it goes to Batista.

Today on Twitter, Jim Ross announced that a deal has been reached between himself and FOX Sports. He also Tweets that he will have something posted about the Royal Rumble sometime today on FOXSports.com.

Now I’m sure Ross will be posting some stuff about college football besides professional wrestling posts. The man knows a lot and is a great pick up by the FOX Sports family. It’s sad to see him gone from the WWE family, but everybody has to move on sooner or later.

He did a lot of great things for this company and will do big things for his new family. Thank you for everything, J.R.!
