In well-traveled news of the day, it is quite snowy in New York. If you didn’t see, this resulted in a number of pictures of a snowy stadium.
I am referring, of course, to snow-covered Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets. What were you thinking of?
For his part, Mr. Met is making the best of the situation with some world-class snow angels (video courtesy of MLB.com).
I would like to also tip my cap to Dayn Perry of CBS for writing the following about Mr. Met’s snow angels:
A host of snow angels is what that is, and none of them is fallen.
Mr. Met’s secret? The knowledge that each passing second brings us closer to this, our baseball.”
Perry is being funny, of course, but with the memory of starting my car in a -35 windchill this morning fresh in my mind, reading those lines darn near made me shed a tear.
