Browns could target Gary Kubiak for Offensive Coordinator per Ian Rapoport

The Cleveland Browns could target former Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak for their offensive coordinator position.  Kubiak was also the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos before taking the Texans’ job.

Mike Pettine, the Browns newly hired head coach said in his press conference that he would like to get a coach with head coaching experience on his staff for the expertise, so that would be another reason for the Browns to want Kubiak.  Pettine’s expertise is on defense and he may be bringing in a number of assistants from the Bills so he might further prefer to have that head coaching experience on the offensive side of the ball.

The Browns need running back help and Ben Tate has been a natural link due to need and cap room, but Kubiak has been able to find running backs without spending money, so they might like him more to find backs in the draft than signing Tate, but the links are there.
