Kevin Durant out for Oklahoma City Thunder's game vs. Boston Celtics

Kevin Durant is out for Friday night’s game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics with a shoulder injury.

Durant has been on a tear this month for the 33-10 Thunder who own the best record in the Western Conference. Durant leads the NBA with a 31 points per game average, which is 4.8 points better than LeBron James who is in second place.

IN January, Durant is averaging 36.9 points per contest and has three games with at least 46 points and one game in which he netted 54 points as he carries the load for the Thunder with Russell Westbrook out with injury.

There is no word on when Durant will make his return back to the Oklahoma City lineup after he was originally termed a game-time decision for the game vs. the Celtics.
