Kevin Durant thinks that Stephen Curry is the best NBA shooter to ever play

When it comes to who can stroke it best from three-point land, there seems to be no one better than Kevin Durant. He’s already one of the premiere three-point scorers in the game, and he’s been operating on that level for some time now. But ask Durant who he thinks the best shooter in the NBA is and he won’t point to himself, LeBron James or even legends of the game like Jerry West or Reggie Miller; Durant is pointing out west to Oakland and Stephen Curry.

Durant was asked on Twitter who would win a three-point contest, him or Curry, and the answer was an easy one for the Oklahoma City Thunder star.

Not Larry Bird, Ray Allen or even Michael Jordan. Durant thinks that Steph Curry is the best shooter not only playing today but to have ever played in the NBA. That may be overstating things a bit on Durant’s part, but he’s not wrong when he says Curry is among one of the best shooters in basketball today.

The best ever is a bit much, but Curry’s credibility among NBA fans just skyrocketed with a glowing endorsement from Kevin Durant. If the Warriors and Thunder meet in the postseason though, Durant might change his feelings of admiration towards Curry if the best shooter to ever play the game ends the Thunder’s season prematurely.
