Super Bowl halftime show 2014: Red Hot Chili Peppers to auction drum set for charity

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing with Bruno Mars during the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show and they will be doing a great auction for charity. It was announced on Friday that the drum set from the halftime show will be auctioned off after the big game to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The drum set that will be played by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith will be broken into two sets — one AFC and one NFC. The drum set will then be auctioned off at www.nfl.com/auction.
Smith’s drum set, which will be a Custom Built “Limited Edition” Series Pearl Drum Set that includes limited edition Sabian Cymbals, will feature the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos logo. Here is a look at what each of the auctioned off kits will include:

- Bass Drum 26 X 16 inches

- Floor Tom 14 X 14 inches
- Floor Tom 16 X 16 inches

Smith will also be auctioning off three sets of signed drum sticks that he uses throughout the halftime show and rehearsals.
