Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater has not been able to practice over the past few days because of an illness, and he was once again absent on Saturday. The Broncos leave for New Jersey on Sunday, but the team doesn’t appear too worried that Prater will miss the game.

Broncos head coach John Fox said that he expects Prater to be able to play in the game and they hope that he will be feeling well enough to travel with the team on Sunday.

“We sent (Prater) home, but he’s going to be fine for the game,” Fox said, via Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post. “Hopefully he feels much better by tomorrow morning when we leave for New Jersey.

“It’s happened all season and it happens all over the league. Guys do get sick; it’s like any household in America. We are confident he’ll be fine.”

Outside of Prater, the Broncos have been a relatively healthy team leading up to their Super Bowl XLVIII match up with the Seattle Seahawks.
