I guess there’s something to be said in regards to acting crazy on live television.

In recent days we’ve seen major news networks break out of coverage like CBS and CNN to broadcast Richard Sherman‘s press conference. Not anything special – just a typical, every week press conference you have during the NFL postseason.

Now it’s being reported by CNN Money that the Seattle Seahawks defensive back could cash in upwards of $5 million dollars in endorsements thanks to his rant-laced interview with Erin Andrews after the Seahawks defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship.

"Richard Sherman could stand to make about $5 million in endorsements — all because of his 15-second rant moments after helping the Seattle Seahawks get to the Super Bowl."

Sherman did have an endorsement deal with headphone maker Beats by Dre prior to the widely popular interview, but outside of that, the checks weren’t exactly flowing in. That’s apparently likely to change though moving forward.
