Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Kevin Nash was apart of one of the greatest tag teams in professional wrestling history. Teaming up with Scott Hall and forming The Outsiders was a huge part of WCW in it’s later years. Both of those giants (Nash is obviously the tallest between the two), kept tag team wrestling in WCW alive.

I’ll admit, tag team wrestling in the WWE hasn’t necessarily been the greatest over the last couple of years, but things are starting to get better. With teams like The Wyatt Family, Cody Rhodes and Goldust, The Usos, The Real Americans, The Shield, things are starting to pick up.

The company has a couple teams in their development system right now, looking to break free from NXT and landing a full time position with the “major league” roster. Now Kevin Nash sat down with WrestleTalkTV and discussed the secrets of tag team wrestling.

First off, if you’re going to be a successful tag team, you’re going to have to work well together. Chemistry is everything if you want to come across as an actual tag team in this industry. Or else you’ll end up being overlooked and later disbanded.

Nash was asked what he would like to see more involved with tag team wrestling. Nash responds with:

"“What it really comes down to right now, there’s really only two places in America to work. There’s really only one. They’ve taken which I think is psychology wise, like probably one of the best matches on the card, the tag match. Because you can always beat your champ in a tag match, there’s so many things you can do in a tag match that you can’t do in the singles [match]. Yet it’s been treated as filler for so many years now. There’s always talk that ‘oh we’re just going to abolish tag team’. And to me it’s just like, it’s brutal.” Kevin Nash via WrestleTalkTV interview."

Nash then begins to talk about what he was told when he went back to the WWE. Here’s the full six minute interview. Pretty interesting stuff from a veteran. Nash has always been outspoken.
