Although the school has yet to make the announcement official, multiple media outlets are reporting the Georgia Bulldogs have hired Tracy Rocker as the team’s new defensive line coach.

Rocker spent the last three seasons as the defensive line coach for the Tennessee Titans. Before that he coached at Auburn, his alma mater, for two years (including the 2010 championship season).

The newest Bulldog told the Ledger-Enquirer that he’s excited to return to his home state:

It’s amazing how things start working out. It was unique to me, because I grew up in Atlanta obviously, like anybody else you grow up and watch Georgia football. And that’s what I grew up (watching). And now I’m back closer to the house. And I’m part of a very prominent, historical, program.

Rocker was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
