NBA Rumors: Kobe Bryant says everybody wants to play for Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers will likely enter the offseason without enough cap space to offer a maximum contract deal. Them actually doing so is a completely different argument, but needless to say the Lakers will have money to spend in free agency.

That’s likely good news moving forward considering Kobe Bryant says everybody wants to play in Los Angeles.

Bryant, who was with the Lakers as they took on the New York Knicks on Sunday was asked about free agency and the Carmelo Anthony rumors when he made the remark.

Kobe asked about free agency & Melo, quipped: “Everybody wants to play in L.A. … it’s cold as (expletive) out here (in NYC).”

Kobe didn’t name anybody in particular and gave a relatively generalized answer, so it’s not tampering, though, it’s not exactly difficult to figure out who he was speaking about – especially with the NYC comment attatched.

Or maybe Kobe’s just a really big fan of Cole Aldrich and can’t wait until the big man becomes a free agent at season end?
