AP Top 25 college basketball rankings (Week 13)

The Arizona Wildcats retain the top spot in the AP Top 25 for the eighth straight week.  Yesterday, the Wildcats defeated Utah 65-56 to remain undefeated at 20-0 (7-0 Pac-12).

Syracuse retains the number two spot for the eighth straight weeks as well.  The Orange are 19-0, and 6-0 in their first season as a member of the ACC.

Florida (17-2) moved into the third spot after starting 6-0 in the SEC.  The Gators are 2-2 against ranked opponents.

Wichita State is undefeated at 21-0 (8-0 MVC).  They have not played a ranked opponent, but continue to impress as the fourth ranked team in the country.

No. 5 San Diego State is riding a 17-game winning streak since losing to Arizona in the second game of the season.  The Aztecs are 18-1 (7-0 MW).

Kansas State and Baylor fell out of the Top 25.  Kansas State (14-6, 4-3 Big 12) lost to No. 25 Texas and No. 16 Iowa State last week.  Baylor (13-6, 1-5 Big 12) has lost four straight games.

Creighton and Texas moved into the Top 25.  No. 20 Creighton beat No. 9 Villanova and Georgetown last week to improve to 17-3 (7-1 Big East).  No. 25 Texas is on a five-game winning streak since losing to No. 8 Oklahoma State on Jan. 8.  The Longhorns are 16-4 (5-2 Big 12).
