Chane Behanan, former forward for the Louisville Cardinals, has chosen to play for Colorado State.
Colorado State announced Monday that Behanan enrolled in classes for the spring semester.
“I am extremely excited to have Chane enrolled at Colorado State,” Eustachy said in a statement. “It is a great fit for both of us. He is a tremendous kid, and I really enjoyed getting to know him during his brief visit to Fort Collins.”
Behanan will become eligible to play in December of this year, which means he’ll only get a little more than one half a season for the rest of his collegiate career.
He was suspended this past preseason and missed the season opener, and he averaged 7.6 points and 6.3 rebounds in 12 games before being dismissed following Louisville’s loss to Kentucky in late-December.
Behanan contemplated playing in the NBA Developmental League and going overseas to play professionally but said he wanted to get his degree and also finish his college career on a high note.
