When the Sacramento Kings made a trade for Rudy Gay, it appeared that they were gearing up to make a run at the postseason. That run might not happen, but they are certainly showing that they have the tools to build a winner in the future.
One of those tools is point guard Isaiah Thomas, who isn’t yet a star in the NBA but has no doubt had his fair share of awesome moments. One of those moments came on Monday night against the Utah Jazz when Thomas threw up a beautiful shot that kissed the backboard before dropping in.
Thomas has started to develop nicely for the Kings and appears to be a big part of their future. Even if the Kings end up dealing him, at least they’ve had a slew of pretty awesome moments to remember him by.
