Jonathan Banks will reprise Breaking Bad role on Better Call Saul

AMC will be rolling out their Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul this fall and the prequel/sequel will be something that fans of the show will look forward to all year. When the spinoff was announced, there were questions about who would be returning to the show and which characters wouldn’t be involved.

Not only did we learn of a major character reprising his role, the news also gave us an idea of the type of timeline the show will have. According to Deadline, Jonathan Banks will be returning to the character of Mike Ehrmantraut in Better Call Saul.

Banks will be a series regular on the show conceived by Breaking Badcreator Vince Gilligan and Breaking Bad writer-producer Peter Gould. The prequel series, slated to debut on AMC in November, will chronicle the evolution of Saul before he ever became Walter White’s lawyer.

This is news that fans of the show have been waiting for, as it opens the door to cameos from the rest of the cast. But Banks isn’t just going to cameo here and there, he’s been added to the cast as a series regular which means he’s going to be showing up in almost every single episode.

If you weren’t already looking forward to Better Call Saul, you definitely are now.
