Pepsi returned the favor to the music industry during the 2014 Grammys. While musicians have always provided football’s biggest game a spectacular half time show, Pepsi brought a half time show to the Grammys.
Not literally of course.
It is an ad featuring NFL personalities performing stereotypical music genre type songs. For instance, Terry Bradshaw does country music while Shannon Sharpe comes in rapping. Though Sharpe does make fun of Kanye West’s Bound 2 music video in the song, which is hilarious.
It also includes Matthew Stafford acting as a member of Daft Punk, which is interesting. The highlight of the whole thing might have been Mike Ditka’s appearance. He swung in on a giant football wrecking ball, obviously poking fun at Miley Cyrus. Fortunately he was clothed and wearing a sweater vest that read Pepsi, but resembled his famous Bears one.
