MLB Rumors: Drew Storen not worried about trade talk

The Washington Nationals might be attempting to trade Drew Storen, but that doesn’t bother the setup man who knows Major League Baseball is nothing more than a business.

Trade rumors are nothing new for Drew Storen, so when a new round of speculation surfaced this winter, the Nationals reliever didn’t worry about it.

“No, I didn’t,” he said Saturday at NatsFest. “It’s part of the business. You read it and … eh, whatever happens. You never really know the full story. It’s kind of funny. Once I dealt with it the first time in 2011, it just kind of rolls off.”

Rumors broke a few weeks suggesting the Nationals were looking to move Storen, but that was also during the period in which they had an offer out for free agent closer Grant Balfour. Balfour of course opted to sign with the Tampa Bay Rays, so it’s not known if that forced the Nationals to remove Storen from the trade block.

Regardless, he appears ready if a move is to happen.
