The Sacramento Kings and Minnesota Timberwolves are both in need of a more traditional back up point guard. That’s good news for the Denver Nuggets, who are attempting to trade their disgruntled one guard in Andre Miller.
Both the Kings and Timberwolves have expressed interest in Miller in the past few weeks and according to league contact who sent a text to Darren Wolfson, Miller will be traded to one of those teams in the very near future.
League contact today via text: “Andre Miller will be a Wolf or King by All-Star break.”
Wolfson, a Minnesota sports insider is relatively accurate with his rumors, so this isn’t to be taken lightly.
Sacramento has both Aaron Gray and Jimmer Fredette as expiring deals (something the Nuggets are rumored to be interested in) while the Timberwolves have Dante Cunningham and a few very small (sub million) dollar deals as well. It’s possible both the Kings and Timberwolves would need to include a third team to make the financials work as Miller is due $5 million dollars while Gray, Fredette and Cunningham are only due $2 million (give or take).
