It appears the Toronto Raptors can’t make a final decision on what to do with point guard Kyle Lowry.
The eight-year veteran has been the subject of multiple trade rumors the past few months but with the Raptors improved play, the team reportedly had pulled him off the market. However, according to Marc Stein, Lowry is still not only available for trade, but is likely to be moved before the NBA’s upcoming trade deadline.
Trade rumble: Sense around league remains Toronto more likely to trade Kyle Lowry than keep him to prevent losing asset for nothing. But issue here hasn’t changed: No team out there willing YET to meet Raps’ asking price for PG who, nice as he’s playin, can bolt in free agency
It’s a tough call for Toronto who (at least right now) appears to be destined for a playoff birth, barring a late season collapse. Of course, Lowry is doubtful to return to Toronto after the season when he enters free agency so the team understandably doesn’t want to let him walk for free.
