NFL Draft rumors: Dolphins want high character player

There have been plenty of reports over the past few weeks that the turmoil in South Beach has continued for the Miami Dolphins. In order to turn things around, new general manager Dennis Hickey is reportedly interested in adding some high character players in the upcoming NFL Draft.

“Dennis Hickey has a huge inclination to go for high character players. If a player is perceived to be a thug, gang-banger or have a drug issue that could knock them off Miami’s board. I could see Zack Martin being a fit,” said Charlie Campbell of

Martin was a standout during Senior Bowl week in Mobile, Alabama and he may have solidified himself as a first-round pick. If his stock continues to rise, he may end up off the board by the time the Dolphins are on the clock, but for now he would be a great fit for the team thanks to his versatility along the line.
