Four-star defensive tackle Travonte Valentine committed to the Miami Hurricanes way back in July.

Valentine frequently visited Miami throughout the season and most believe the 6’3, 338-pounder who attends Champagnat Catholic High School – Hialeah in Palm Beach, Florida was a Miami lock.

However, the LSU Tigers have really come on and Valentine decommitted from Miami earlier this month, leading many to believe he would eventually sign with LSU and that Miami was nearly out of the picture.

However, Miami head coach Al Golden talked with Valentine on Tuesday and Valentine has decided to take an official visit to Miami this weekend.

Despite the visit and the appeal of playing close to home, Valentine maintains that LSU is his leader.

National Signing Day is Wednesday, February 5.
