The Central Florida Knights got some good news Tuesday.
After losing three-star defensive end Sedrick King to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Monday and three-star safety Dominick Sanders to Georgia Bulldogs Tuesday, the Knights flipped a commitment of their own when they got a pledge from four-star safety Kyle Gibson on Tuesday night.
The 6’0, 170-pound Gibson attends Armwood High School in Seffner, Florida, a powerhouse high school program, which is about two or so hours away from Central Florida’s campus in Orlando, Florida.
Gibson committed to Vanderbilt back in August, but decided to open things back up this month. Gibson took an official visit to East Lansing to visit the Michigan State Spartans in early November. He officially visited UCF on January 17 and was in Tennessee to see Vanderbilt last weekend. After taking an up close look at each school, he decided to commit to UCF.
Gibson was also interested in the Boston College Eagles, Florida State Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes and Wisconsin Badgers, among others.
