‘A’ is for ‘Angel.’ ‘A’ is for ‘Albert.’ ‘A’ is for ‘athlete.’

‘Athlete’ is the word that Angels’ first baseman Albert Pujols will help Grover Monster define on an episode of Sesame Street. The ‘Word of the Day’ segment with the 33-year-old slugger is scheduled to air on Thursday, according to Fox Sports West.

Pujols played in only 99 games last season, having gone on the disabled list in July with a partially torn plantar fascia in his left foot.

He still has eight years remaining on his contract and grossly under-performed in the 2012 season.

The clip of Pujols and Grover, in various athletic gear, is below.
