College baseball rankings: Baseball America releases preseason Top 25 poll

With spring rapidly approaching, so is the 2014 college baseball season, and the folks over at Baseball America have released their preseason Top 25 rankings.

For the first time in the program’s history, the Virginia Cavaliers are the number one team in the country. Winning over 50 games in the last three seasons, the Cavaliers return eight starters on this year’s squad and are certainly the favorite at the moment to take home the College World Series trophy.

Also notable, the defending national champion UCLA Bruins come in this season ranked 12th in the nation after losing some significant starters from that championship-winning bunch.

Here’s a look at the full preseason Top 25 for the 2014 college baseball season.
