The Dallas Cowboys have hired former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan. There have been reports that Linehan could take over play-calling duties from current Cowboys play-caller Bill Callahan, who only had those responsibilities for one season. Former Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson shared his thoughts on the situation.

From the Dallas Morning News:

"“I guess we’re going to find out,’’ Johnson said. “That’s a lot of cooks, right.’’Johnson made his comments Tuesday afternoon at the media headquarters for Super Bowl XLVIII. The former Cowboys coach concedes he doesn’t know Linehan, but does wonder one thing.“The only concern I would have is that one of the problems with the Cowboys is at times they have abandoned the run with DeMarco Murray and I don’t recall Detroit being a power running football team,’’ Johnson said."

Former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman said the constant changes to play-calling has him concerned about the team’s abilities and future.
