The Texas Rangers have shown interest in bringing back outfielder Jeff Baker, but they appear to have some competition.
According to CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman, the Miami Marlins, Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals have emerged as potential suitors for Baker’s services.

Baker had a very solid 2012 campaign though slipped during the final few months due to a lingering finger injury which impacted his ability to hold and swing the bat.
In addition to the solid season, Baker is known for his ability to play all over the diamond and has a historic track record of mashing left handed pitching.
He’s not really much of an everyday player, but as a reserve off the bench or a spot utility player, you’re not going to find much better.
There’s currently no word on what type of contract Baker would be looking for, though, it figures to be no more than a few years and minimal money (in relative terms).
