The Washington Redskins have a new coach and money to spend. So will they be big players in free agency? That remains to be seen though the Washington Post expects the front office to bring in a high quality defensive back and Aqib Talib could potentially top that list.

Talib played for current Redskins defensive back’s coach Raheem Morris in Tampa Bay and the Redskins have already shown an interest in Talib, attempting to sign him last season but lacked the money thanks to salary cap penalties.

Now with $14 million in cap space, might Talib be in Washington next season?

"Talib played for Redskins defensive backs coach Raheem Morris while in Tampa, and Redskins coaches remain high on him. The team would like to add another talented cornerback to go with David Amerson, and re-sign DeAngelo Hall as well."

Getting Talib to leave the New England Patriots will be tough, especially considering he recently suggested he hadn’t ‘played in the NFL’ until he signed with the Patriots.

Money has been known to talk though.
