ESPN’s Rick Reilly is at Super Bowl media day and made it on SportsCenter to discuss the event. He was asked about what he had seen that he hadn’t seen before at the event.
First he answers the question about the logistics of the event and putting players in unusual spots. Usually this event is held in a large football stadium, but this year it is being held in a smaller arena for hockey because of the cold weather. A respectable answer, then it gets good.
He talks about seeing Waldo, Gabby Gifford the Olympic gymnast and Regis Philbin. He says Regis, or “the little guy in the make up” as he calls him, was there and that he thinks Eric Decker didn’t know who he was. Bet lets back track to that Gabby Gifford thing, the Olympic gymnasts’ name is Gabby Douglas, and I assume he is mixing her in with Gabrielle Giffords, the politician.
