We are just under two weeks from the midseason premiere of AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead. As we approach the date that everyone has been waiting for, we are starting to find out small bits of information from the premiere episode. Now, we have not only the episode synopsis for the episode, but two new photos from the midseason premiere that set the somber tone of the show’s return.
As we all know, when we last saw the group, everyone was being spread in their own directions after the vicious onslaught of The Governor and his new crop of minions. This is where we will find our friends, spread apart, some of them all alone, and struggling to find the small slice of humanity they once had.
Here is a look at the official synopsis for the Midseason Return of The Walking Dead entitled “After.”
“As Rick deals with old wounds, members of the prison have to come to terms with their new environment and ask themselves if survival alone is enough.”
Now, as I said, AMC has also released two new photos from the episode. The first one depicts Michonne, who seems to have found herself some new pets. However, as we know, the only thing Michonne really needs by her side is her trusty kitana.
Next, we have Carl sitting on the floor in what looks to be him and his father’s new residence, at least for now. Rick was pretty worse for wear after his scrap with The Governor. He pretty much had to be assisted by Carl to even make it out of the prison. How long will Carl have to be the man of the house before Rick gets back on his feet?
Are you excited to see the return of The Walking Dead? Do you think the group will ever find each other again, or will the solitude be too much for some of them to bare? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
The Walking Dead returns on Sunday, February 9th at 9:00 p.m. on AMC.
