Evan Turner scored 16 points, dished out eight assists, grabbed six rebounds and had two steals, including the game-winning seven-footer as time expired to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 95-94 victory over the Boston Celtics at the T.D. Garden in Boston, Massachusetts Wednesday night.
With 10 seconds to play and the Philadelphia 76ers trailing by one, Michael Carter-Williams rebounded a Kris Humphries miss. The 76ers got the ball to Turner, who drove to the basket and hit the game-winner over Jared Sullinger as time expired.
Spencer Hawes led the 76ers with 20 points and eight rebounds while Thaddeus Young scored 16 points, dished out five assists and grabbed four rebounds. James Anderson added 13 points, six rebounds and four assists and Carter-Williams had 10 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
Sullinger led the Celtics with 24 points and 17 rebounds while Jeff Green had 18 points, six rebounds and four assists, Humphries added 13 points and nine rebounds and Brandon Bass finished with 11 points and five rebounds.
The win improves the 76ers to 15-31 while the loss drops the Celtics to 15-33.
