Connecticut unveils adorable new mascot, Jonathan XIV

The Connecticut Huskies have unveiled their newest Husky mascot, Jonathan XIV.  The program showcased the 3-month old puppy playing with a tennis ball and other normal puppy things including being uncomfortably close up with the camera, which begs the question what they were holding up for him to keep his attention.

They also had him side by side with Jonathan XIII and there is a stark difference between the two color-wise.  The newest edition’s coloring is far more similar to the logo of the team whereas the last version was all white.

Watch the video at own risk as clicking on it could make viewers want to make an incredibly bad and rash decision like running out and finding a husky puppy to adopt.  Perhaps the goal of Connecticut is to take the fight out of their opponents by showcasing this puppy on the sideline and having players want to stop playing the game and go play with Jonathan XIV.  In any case, the adorable puppy is the newest addition in Storrs, CT.
