Dana White and TJ Simers argue over boxing (video)

This past week, Dana White’s brand new boxing reality series ‘The Fighters’ debuted on Discovery Channel. Unfortunately for Dana, the show did terrible numbers, only pulling 385,00 viewers. Recently, Dana and the UFC held a media luncheon in LA where numerous topics were discussed. One such topic was his new show, and the sport of boxing in general.

TJ Simers, a journalist for the Orange County Register, argued with White about the sport of boxing. You can watch the clip above of Dana and Simers going back and forth. The argument gets pretty heated as Simers calls out White a few times, and speaks over him as well. It is not often that you see a journalist talk over and argue with Dana White, but Simers holds nothing back.

Besides for UFC 169 and Roy Nelson applying for the NSAC executive director position, this was the hot topic coming off the LA media scrum. Many said they expected this type of behavior from Simers, while others were upset with his bold demeanor and aggressive attitude.

What do you think about the argument? Do you think boxing is a dying sport? Do you think Dana White was right, or was TJ Simers in line? Let me know in the comments below or on Twitter @SchlinskMMA
