J. Cole performed at The Theater at Madison Square Garden and brought out some friends: Kendrick Lamar and Jay Z. The rapper gave fans the unreleased Dreamville mixtape as a gift.

In the first video, the one where Kendrick comes out, he stops the performance of “Forbidden Fruit” when he raps the line “how many records does a n***a gotta sell?” Then he begins to boast about dropping a record on the same day as hip-hop mega star Kanye West and out selling him.

He does say he means no disrespect, but come on… he did. Lamar then performed Backseat Freestyle and M.A.A.D City. Fans were lucky to get performances from two of the best in the game currently.

Jay Z also was there and made an appearance. The New York hip hop legend then makes an appearance and gives him his original Roc-A-Fella chain. Jay Z came out to his hit “PSA” and also followed it up with a performance of his hit single “F*** With Me U Know I Got It.”
