In a conversation with NJ.com on Wednesday, offensive tackle Justin Herron revealed he’s flipped his commitment from Rutgers to Wake Forest.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound prospect out of Bullis High School said he was influenced by the coaching changes at Rutgers and the size of the Wake Forest student body:

The coaching changes from coach Wrobo (Damian Wroblewski) leaving to coach (Ron) Prince leaving, that was huge. Because they recruited me and I had a good connection with those two. And since they left, I didn’t really feel the connection I did before.

Secondly, it was the size of the school. I go to a small school now, and I felt that Wake Forest would be a better place for me because its what I’m used to. And then the educational aspect of the school was top notch, and I thought it would be a great fit for me.

Herron, who informed Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood of the decision on Tuesday night, is the 12th player in the 2014 recruiting class to de-commit from Rutgers.
