NBA Rumors: Minnesota Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman to retire at end of season?

It’s no secret that the Minnesota Timberwolves have been nowhere near as good as they were expected to be this year, and that has caused more chaos in the organization than fans would have liked The arrival of Flip Saunders was supposed to mean stability for the Wolves, but it may mean that two of Minnesota’s best assets could be on the move.
Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune believes that Timberwolves head coach Adelman will retire at the end of the season.
"I wish it weren’t the case. But I think the Rick Adelman/Kevin Love era in Minnesota is nearing an end. I won’t be surprised if Adelman, the former Trail Blazers coach, retires after this season, completing an illustrious NBA coaching career that will earn him a spot in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame."
There have been persistent trade rumors involving Kevin Love recently, but one thing that may speed those rumors up is news that head coach Rick Adelman may retire at the end of the year.
Love has stated his admiration for Adelman time and time again, and having his coach leave, thus forcing him to learn a new system under a new coach, may prompt Love to force his way out of Minnesota before the 2015 trade deadline.
