The NBA All-Star Game is just around the corner and already we’re starting to hear of players and fans committing to the festivities the weekend will have. The Celebrity All-Star game rosters were revealed this morning and we have learned of another name joining the weekend events.

San Antonio Spurs sharpshooter Marco Belinelli has confirmed that he will be participating in this year’s 3-Point Contest, which will happen the night before the All-Star Game.

Per Sportando.net (via HoopsHype):

"Marco Belinelli confirmed to La Gazzetta dello Sport the reports that he has been named for the 3-point shootout contest in the NBA All-Star Game.Belinelli will be the second Italian after Danilo Gallinari to be in the All-Star Game.“I am happy because it is very important to me, my fans and Italy” said Belinelli. “It is going to be a step forward in my career. I go to New Orleans to win” added Belinelli."

Belinelli has been a wizard from three-point range in his career, and he clearly thinks he still has it. The stats back him up on that too, as Belinelli is currently second in the NBA in three-point shooting percentage at 46.7 percent, meaning he’s coming in with a legitimate chance to win the contest.
