The NHL did something to make the outdoor games even cooler. They strapped a GoPro camera and microphone on the helmet of referee Wes McCauley for the New York Rangers game against the New Jersey Devils at Yankee Stadium.

The result is pretty cool, though not as cool as the minor league version of this. McCauley is also awesomely Canadian and throws out some eh’s to make this video complete. Otherwise it lacks any real noteworthy incidents, no yelling with coaches, not getting into it with players, no fights from his perspective.

Just a routine hockey game, reviewing a play and explaining to a player why he is headed to the penalty box.
