The Oakland Raiders are in danger of losing running back Darren McFadden in free agency, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they have conducted a workout with another potential running back on Wednesday.
According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the Raiders hosted Saskatchewan Roughriders running back Kory Sheets on Tuesday, who went through a workout at the team facility.
Sheets even posted a photo of himself driving into the Raiders headquarters on Instagram.
Sheets is coming off of a season where he rushed for 1,598 yards. He capped off the year by rushing for 197 yards in the Roughriders’ 45-23 win vs. the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League’s Grey Cup game.
He has previously spent time on the rosters of the 49ers, Dolphins and Panthers. Sheets even worked out for the Indianapolis Colts earlier this season, but now he could finally be getting another opportunity.
