When the Orlando Magic take on the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night, center Nikola Vucevic will be back in the lineup, according to the Magic’s P.R. department.
Vucevic made the Magic’s trip to Toronto and passed all concussion protocols. He has missed the last 12 games because of the injury and the Magic have posted a 2-10 record during that span.
“It’ll feel good. It’s been a while,” Vucevic told Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel. “Just being out there with my teammates, finally, and play and compete will be fun. I missed it. It was no fun to be out of the game and just watch.”
The Magic posted an 0-6 record with Vucevic out earlier in the season with an ankle injury, meaning they are just 2-16 when he’s out and 10-18 when he plays.
Vucevic will start, but his minutes will be limited.
Vucevic has played very well when he’s been on the court. On the season, the third-year big man is averaging 13.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per game.
The Raptors and Magic will tip off at 7:00 pm EST.
