The St. Louis Rams just let go their defensive coordinatorTim Walton.  They are expected to replace him with Gregg Williams according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN.  Williams was the defensive coordinator for Jeff Fisher with the Tennessee Titans before he was hired to be the head coach of the Buffalo Bills.

The two know each other and Williams is arguably the most qualified available candidate on the market.  Williams should not have much of a problem adapting his defense to fit defensive ends Chris Long and Robert Quinn, arguably the best tandem in the league in addition to a number of other young players including Janoris Jenkins and Alec Ogletree.

The Rams also own the second pick in the NFL Draft as one of two picks in the top half of the first round that could help them secure additional talent on that side of the ball.
