San Jose State QB wins All-Star Football Challenge

San Jose State University quarterback David Fales won a pair of victories at the 2014 Quicken Loans All-Star Football Challenge produced by Intersport.

One of three quarterbacks participating in the accuracy competition, the Spartan signal caller out-dueled Clemson’s Tajh Boyd and Logan Thomas of Virginia Tech. He then teamed with Tulane kicker Cairo Santos, Florida cornerback Marcus Roberson, Alabama defensive back Ha Ha Clinton-Nix and Minnesota defensive lineman Ra’Shede Hageman to win the five-man relay activity of kicking, throwing, strength and obstacle course running.

Oklahoma State senior cornerback Justin Gilbert added to his long list of accomplishments after winning the Skechers GoRun Hands Competition in the 2014 Quicken Loans All-Star Football Challenge. Gilbert beat several other national stars in the event, including Marcus Roberson of Florida, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix of Alabama and Bradley Roby of Ohio State.

Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk won the Eckrich Obstacle Course competition at the 2014 Quicken Loans All-Star Football Challenge. Seastrunk clocked a time of 27.48 seconds to defeat Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley (28.03) and BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy (28.92) for the title.

The 16th annual event showcased 16 college football standouts competing in the skills challenge.
