The Walking Dead: First Official Clip from the Midseason Premiere ‘After’ (Video)

This has certainly been the week for all things related to The Walking Dead. Just yesterday, AMC released two new stills from the upcoming episode along with an official episode synopsis for the return episode, which is entitled “After,” and a new trailer. Today, they have gone a step further and released the first official clip from the episode.

Just in case you missed it yesterday, here is a look at the official synopsis for the Midseason Premiere of the AMC hit original series The Walking Dead entitled “After.”

As Rick deals with old wounds, members of the prison have to come to terms with their new environment and ask themselves if survival alone is enough.”

The trailer catches up with Rick, who we do not see in this clip, and his son Carl. Hearing a noise outside of their newfound “home,” Carl comes outside to investigate. With his gun in his hand, he slowly turns the corner to find two walkers, who look like they may have been the previous homeowners just trying to get back into their house, aimlessly banging on the door.

Now, he could have very well just raised his gun and shot them. Thankfully, Carl has matured a lot of the course of the last few months, and has learned that shooting things isn’t always the correct answer.

We don’t really get to see how this whole situation turns out; however, we see Carl leading the two walkers further down the road, presumably to dispose of them further away from the house they have taken up home in.

Here is a look at the newly released clip from the Midseason Return of The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead returns on Sunday, February 9that 9:00 p.m. on AMC.
