Pitchers and catchers have seven days until they report to their spring training complexes to get themselves ready for the 2014 season.

Now the New York Mets added a couple bats (Young, Granderson) to this lineup to not only help out this franchise, but their corner-stone third baseman. Wright has pretty much carried this team over the years and was hit with a couple of injuries last year that slowed him down.

He was added to the 15 day disabled list after suffering a right hamstring injury and also hurt a thumb. So while everybody else is doing their own thing until they are told to report to Spring Training, Wright is already in Port St. Lucie, Florida according to ESPN New York.

Wright arrived two weeks early to host a Super Bowl Sunday charity event for St. Lucie Mets employees who have been affected by cancer.
