UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr is widely regarded as one of the top defensive prospects in the 2014 NFL Draft class, but that may not be the case in the eyes of all NFL talent evaluators.

According to Todd McShay of ESPN and Scouts Inc., he was underwhelmed by the lack of explosiveness that showed on Barr’s game film.

“We didn’t see as much explosiveness as we’d expected,” McShay wrote. “We’ll continue to update his evaluation as we study him further.”

Barr was believed to be a potential top five pick in the upcoming draft, but that status could be in jeopardy if more scouts and teams begin to feel the same way as McShay.

Of course, Barr will have the opportunity to show off his athleticism at next month’s NFL Scouting Combine.
