After suffering back-to-back losses to Phil Davis and Anthony Perosh inside of the UFC octagon, light heavyweight Vinny Magalhaes was released from the promotion. Magalhaes had previously said that he would retire if he was cut loose from the UFC, but now he has found a new home and is ready to get back on the win column.
On Thursday night, it was reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com that Magalhaes has signed a five-fight deal with Titan Fighting Championship.
Magalhaes is expected to make his Titan FC debut in April.
Prior to his current losing streak, Magalhaes was on a six-fight win streak with six finishes, which included claiming the M-1 Global light heavyweight championship.
Magahlhaes joins fellow UFC veterans Dave Herman, Jeff Curran, Iliarde Santos, George Sotiropoulos and Pedro Nobre in Titan FC.
