350-pound mozzarella football to be unveiled Saturday

After multiple days of collaborative effort, the folks at Toscana Cheese Company and Spectrum Works are ready to reveal one of the greatest things humankind has ever dared to make: a 350-pound hunk of mozzarella shaped like a football.
The Star-Ledger has the story behind the glorious creation. According to the report, Victor Paparazzo, the president of Toscana, said the idea was proposed by Michal Gonnelli, the mayor of Secaucus:
"He was about as enthusiastic as a 7-year-old would be on Christmas morning. This is by far the most unique request we’ve ever gotten. We made one-pound balls in the shape of a football for the players and coaches of the Giants during their last Super Bowl. That was very simple. We’ve made cheese figurines in the shape of toys for kids that come through the factory but something this size, we’ve never even come close."
Uh, can Gonnelli come be mayor of my town? He seems awesome.
The sculpture will be unveiled to the public during a ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. If you want an early peek, follow the attached links to watch the video of the creation process.
