On Friday afternoon, 4-star offensive tackle Frank Ragnow committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks over the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Florida State Seminoles.

The 6’6, 291-pound Ragnow attends Chanhassen High School in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

Earlier in the process, Ragnow seemed extremely interested in the hometown Gophers and the Seminoles, but as the Seminoles’ class continued to fill up, there appeared to be less and less contact between the two sides.

Ragnow took an official visit to all three schools.

Gophers’ offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Matt Limegrover has visited Ragnow three times in the last 10 days. He brought head coach Jerry Kill with him on his last visit. That obviously wasn’t enough.

“There really wasn’t a bad choice today between all three of these schools,” Ragnow explained.

In the end, the appeal of playing in the SEC rather than staying home won out.

Ragnow is considered the 24th best offensive tackle prospect, the third best prospect in the state of Minnesota and the 312th best over prospect, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
