As everyone knows by now, the play that moved Auburn into the BCS Championship Game discussion has to be the “kick-six” in the Iron Bowl. Chris Davis returned a missed field goal with no time on the clock to help No. 3 Auburn beat No. 1 Alabama in the Iron Bowl. A result that no one will soon forget.

Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn spoke during halftime of Wednesday night’s game between the Tigers and, of course, the Alabama Crimson Tide. He had much to say, thanking the fans and giving credit to the players, who were standing behind him during his speech, at which the team was awarded ” the Foy-ODK Sportsmanship Trophy, which is awarded annually to the winner of the Iron Bowl,” according to Sports Illustrated.

Here’s a video of what Wednesday night.

And yes, you heard right. Malzahn said the Iron Bowl trophy would be staying in Auburn for a while.

What do you think? Can Malzahn hold true to what he said? Or will the trophy be back with the Crimson Tide in the near future?
